Beat the Devil (1953), directed by John Huston, scripted by Truman Capote and Claud Cockburn, and starring Humphrey Bogart, Jennifer Jones and Gina Lollobrigida, is a cult classic. The storyline involves a quartet of swindlers who are awaiting a ship in Italy. When the ship is ready to sail it will take them to Africa where they plan to buy land which is rich in uranium. As they wait, they meet more people who inadvertently get pulled into the scheme.
